From the Mantraraja Pada Stotra (Pancharatra tradition)

Narasimha Mantra: Ugram Veeram

Protection from fear, danger and adversaries.

Each of the eleven names in this verse is a facet of Narasimha: fierce, heroic, the great Vishnu, blazing, facing every direction, terrifying, auspicious, and the death of Death itself.

The first verse of the Mantraraja Pada Stotra, which tradition attributes to Shiva. It is linked with the Nrisimha Purva Tapaniya Upanishad and the Ahirbudhnya Samhita.
